Wildwood Farmers Market will be holding their annual pre-holiday markets again this year. Please save the dates. The first one will be in November on the 14th, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. It will be held inside the Wildwood City Hall. There will be a variety of vendors attending and we are putting together a list that we will post towards the end of the week.
We excited to announce that Tony Woods and his Wild Alaska Salmon and Seafood will be joining the market this week (Sept. 19) Tony is a local resident (Illinois) that spends his spring and summer fishing – in a big way. He runs a private boat up in Alaska and fishes for salmon. He processes it there and brings it back to Illinois for market. Here are a few pictures of his operation.
To get the full effect, take at look at the video of his fishing.
We think you will find this new line a real plus for the market. Help us welcome Tony and his crew this Saturday.
The Wildwood Farmers Market will be open 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Saturday July 4.
We will have a kid’s tent with activities, live music, ready to eat prepared food, lots of summer produce including sweet corn, tomatoes, peaches and berries. We also have locally raised, all natural meat vendors along with baked goods and other handmade, homemade and home-grown food items and artisan wares.
Save the date, make your grocery list and plan on supporting the market. Stay tuned for the latest vendor updates and produce report.
